The most perfect day in the world! James and I were so grateful that we had so many people come out and support us! My mom and her group of friends are the most amazing event planners and decorators and took my vision of what I wanted and made it even better than what I had in my head!

These people made sure that our day was flawless and that I looked and felt my best!
Here are some pictures from our special day! The different foods we had were a Cookies and Milk bar, a Donut Wall, a S'mores bar, and a Crepe Bar! I wanted to make sure that there was a variety for everyone to have! I'll include tips from my day specifically under the pictures if you are needing any extra ideas! Overall, I just loved that this day celebrated James and I and our future together!
Tip 1
Put the greeting line opposite from the door and the food! This way, it is not crowded and claustrophobic in the event space! Even in the smallest of spaces, this one trick can open up the whole space!
Tip 2
Make sure your mom has a helper that she explicitly tells everything to so she can let everything go and enjoy the day! It is not a fun day if she is super stressed throughout the day!
Tip 3
GET AN MC!!! I cannot say this enough! Even if it's your little brother! It is so awkward when either the bride and groom gets up and announces that they are now going to dance or something along those lines. Please don't make it awkward for everyone involved!
Tip 4
Put the majority of your investment in your photographer. It's heartbreaking to me when I see brides put so much time and effort into decorations and planning and it's captured poorly! In my opinion, that should be your biggest investment!
Tip 5
Have a video or something else going on during the first dance. It's sometimes uncomfortable to watch a couple slow dance in a circle for a solid 4 minute song. Prepare a choreographed dance, have a video playing, invite others to join after 1 minute, etc. just have SOMETHING. Otherwise it's another awkward piece added to the day!
Tip 6
Have someone put food aside from your reception so you can enjoy it in the hotel after! I hear so many brides say they didn't even get to enjoy the reception food they picked out! Assign someone to put a box to the side with some reception snacks in it so that you can enjoy your hard work!
Tip 7
Provide a schedule for your guests! It's always uncomfortable as a guest to know how long to stay if they have no clue what is going on. Plus, it's alway more comforting to have an idea of what is going on! The more you can make your guests comfortable the better!
Tip 8
Sparkler exit tips! If you are doing a sparkler exit, the longer the sparklers the better! They last longer for pictures and look better in general. Another tip for the sparkler exit is to have candles near your guests so they don't only have one source to light their sparklers. Again, it takes less time which means more time for pretty pictures!
Tip 9
Have a kids area! That way, the adults are able to socialize and the kids aren't dying of boredom! Everyone has a place and the kids' place is fun! For ours, we had giant Kerplunk, a trampoline, and a corn hole game! I've also seen giant Jenga and Giant tic tac toe!
Tip 10
If you have other treats, you don't have to serve cake! Save money by making only the top tier real and the rest can be fake layers! That way, you have something to cut but don't waste expensive cake!
Tip 11
Invest in "fillers". These are items, plants, quotes, etc. that go in the blank spots in the venue. This makes it look less empty and more stylized and cute!
Tip 12
Have a smaller bouquet to throw during the bouquet toss instead of your real bouquet! That way you can still keep yours but you also get a bouquet toss!
